Now what a lovely sight eh. This shot of the beautiful flowering cherry tree right outside the front door to our building was taken about two weeks ago. Imagine walking outside your front door in the morning and seeing this magnificent blossom. Ah who doesn’t love the spring eh?
Well a fortnight later it’s me actually. You see all that riot of pinkness has followed the natural order of things and, having done it’s job attracting cross-pollinating insects, has decided to drop. And in the intervening 14 days something significant happened underneath that tree. You see our lovely Volvo had to go back to Volvograd and we’ve got a new car. Actually it’s a few years old BMW but pretty immaculate. Well it was until that bloody blossom decide to fall because our parking bay is right underneath that tree and on the downward flightpath of a ton of fragile pink petalness.
And it’s been raining off and on for the last couple of days too. So our personal piece of precise German engineering is clad in a macho metallic grey but you can’t see it for the pink sludge on all of its roof, bonnet and boot lid. It’s as if someone has plastered it with a classic public school pudding. Welcome to the latest edition to the BMW range, the 320 diesel Eton Mess.
The ultimate driving me mad.
