Ants!

This blog’s turning into a natural history programme; Life in the Bloody Undergrowth or What on Earth or something. After postings on the scorpions and the continuing presence of Scruffy this one’s about out latest invaders, Ants!

We had a mob in the kitchen last week which is to be expected I guesss this time of year. It even used to happen in Buckingham during spring, regular as clockwork. Then we had an invasion in the bedroom. Yep it’s like an insect house up there at times. I’ve managed to get enough ant repellant down the cracks in the floor to get rid of them so we can sleep easier at night again. Then yesterday I put some washing out to dry. When I came to bring it in there was a mass of ants on one set of the clothes. We have 3 lines and the one strung between two trees has become a bridge for the little buggers and I’d gone and made their journey just a little bit more awkward. Bloody Englishman. So for a while that line’s out of commission. Not that I want you to get the impression that I’m big into this washing/drying lark but whilst C’s away, needs must and all that. Have a look at the little rascals below. Scorpions, dog, ants… what next? I’m heading into the long grass today….ooh er
